For decades, Karl Lagerfeld’s edgy style and bold graphic designs have made him an international icon in the fashion world; now, he’s expanded his luminous empire in a new direction – engagement rings and wedding bands.
Lagerfeld’s debut line of bridal jewelry, exclusive to the United States and Canada, is only carried by 17 select jewelers, including three in Florida: Ackerman Jewelers in Tampa, Bay Hill Jewelers in Orlando and Winter Park, and JR Dunn Jewelers in Lighthouse Point. The jewelers found out about the line when approached with an invitation in May of 2016 to preview the line at The Couture Jewelry Event in Las Vegas, and the line officially launched on November 3, 2016.
The line consists of three different collections inspired by Lagerfeld’s signature brand patterns – the Pyramid Kollection, based on pointed stud motifs from his accessories; the Perspective Kollection, inspired by the geometric shapes in Lagerfeld’s work; and the Arch Kollection, which draws from intricate Parisian architecture for a more romantic style of ring.

“It’s a marriage of classic style with an edge,” says Kendall Miller of Bay Hill Jewelers. Among the favorites of Bay Hill’s staff are the rings with the pyramid stud details and the pear-shaped ring.

The wedding bands are available in both men’s and women’s styles, and each piece is available in 18-karat white and yellow gold and platinum to fit the brand’s aesthetic.
“The rings had to express something that concerns the heart and real feelings,” Lagerfeld says, “It has to be a symbol of a real wish of engagement.”
